In the final of the challenger in Columbus, Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka will play against Dominic-Stefan Stricker from Switzerland.
Dominic-Stefan Stricker
The 19-year-old representative of Switzerland had a difficult match against Yuri Rodionov from Austria in the semifinals yesterday, but at the same time he was still able to achieve victory in three sets. Stricker started the game very badly, Dominik-Stefan immediately lost two games on his serve in the first set and at some point began to lose 0:3. But, as we know, Rodionov is also not stable, and therefore Yuri managed not only to squander such an advantage, but even to lose the first game with a score of 4:6. In the second set, Stricker continued to be feverish, but Rodionov finally more or less found the game on his serve, as a result, Dominik-Stefan lost three games on his serve with one break and lost the set with a score of 6:2. In the third set, the Swiss already seemed to start playing more stably, yes, he still had problems on serve, but still against Rodionov's background it was not so critical. Dominik-Stefan immediately made a break and led with the score 3:0, but in the middle of the game Rodionov recouped and made the score 3:3. However, Yuri could not lead the game to a tie-break, with the score 4:5 in favor of Stricker, the Austrian lost the game on his serve again, and accordingly lost the match.
Yoshihito Nishioka
The 26-year-old representative of Japan, in turn, fairly confidently dealt with American Jenson Brooksby in the semifinals yesterday. Brooksby's game did not go right away and as a result he began to lose 0:3 with one break. In the middle of the game, Brooksby made a break and it seemed that he could compare the score, but after the break, Jenson again lost the game on his serve and returned the advantage to Nishioka back. As a result, the Japanese won the first game with a score of 6:3. In the second set, Brooksby again immediately lost a game on his serve. Nishioka continued to work efficiently on his serve and eventually easily brought the game and the match to victory - 6:4.
Forecast
Considering that Yoshihito Nishioka plays more steadily on his serve, and the young Striker is always feverish on the court, this should play in favor of the Japanese in the final, and therefore we suggest betting on his victory.
