In the 1/8 finals of the challenger in Forli, Russian tennis player Evgeny Tyurnev will play against Adrian Andreev from Bulgaria.
Adrian Andreev
The 20-year-old representative of Bulgaria made his way to the main draw of the tournament through qualification. In the semi-finals of the qualification, Andreev defeated Italian Christian Cappachi in forty minutes – 6:0; 6:0. But it is worth noting that this was an extremely weak opponent who had not played anywhere before. The next day, in the qualifying final, Andreev already faced a more serious opponent, but Adrian was able to make a small sensation and beat Mikael Girtz from Belgium in three sets – 7:5; 4:6; 6:1. In the 1/16 finals, Andreev had to play for the third consecutive day for himself. At the same time, Adrian had enough strength to deal with Tunisian tennis veteran Malik Jaziri in two sets – 6:2; 6:3.
Evgeny Tyurnev
The 24-year-old Russian tennis player, in turn, is just starting the 2022 game year at this tournament in Forli. In the 1/16 finals on January 11, Tyurnev played a difficult match, but it could not be otherwise. The most important thing is that Eugene showed character and won a strong-willed victory over the Frenchman Antoine Oan – 6:7 (6:8); 7:6 (10:8); 6:2.
Forecast
Considering that Andreev has already played more matches in Forli, he may well get a victory in this match, however, Turnev immediately showed that he is in quite decent shape and is ready to go as far as possible in Italy. Let's hope that Evgeny will not make any blunders in the match and still make it to the quarterfinals.
