The Brazilian national team at the last tournament of the League of Nations was able to reach the quarterfinals stage. There, the South American team lost to the USA with a score of 1:3. In the match for the third place, the South American team was able to defeat Slovenia with a result of 3:1.
Germany
The German national team did not perform in the best way at the last League of Nations and stopped at the round-robin stage, failed to reach the playoffs. Hardly anyone expected any miracles from the Bundestim at the Volleyball World Cup last year. Nevertheless, the Germans were able to overcome the group stage, and reached the 1/8 finals of the tournament, where they lost to Slovenia in four sets – 1:3. In preparation for the League of Nations, Germany held two matches. First, the Germans defeated the Poles with a score of 3:2, after which they lost to the enemy with the same result – 2:3.
