In the 1/16 challenger finals in Columbus, Dominic-Stefan Stricker will play against Tennis Sandgren from the USA.

The 19-year-old representative of Switzerland spent the beginning of the year quite fruitfully, but with controversial indicators. At the challenger in Traralgon, Stricker calmly beat Diviz Sharan from India in the 1/16 finals – 6:4; 6:2. But in the 1/8 finals, a defeat from Jesper de Jong from the Netherlands followed - 5:7; 2:6. In qualifying for the Australian Open, Stricker beat Mohamed Safwat from Egypt in his first match – 3:6; 6:2; 6:1. But in the next match Dominic-Stefan could not cope with the Australian Matthew Ebden – 7:6 (7:2); 6:2.
Tennis Sandgren
The 30-year-old US representative, in turn, has not played yet this year. The last tournament last year for Sandgren was the challenger in Knoxville, where in his first match Tennis lost to Peter Polanski from Canada – 6:3; 6:7 (3:7); 6:7 (4:7). This tournament was held in mid-November.
Forecast
Dominic-Stefan Stricker is considered a small favorite among bookmakers, but it seems to us that Tennis Sandgren will be able to show high-quality tennis at home and eventually beat the young representative of Switzerland.
