Ivan met our expectations and in two sets was able to beat a pretty strong Italian Giovanni Fonio – 6:4; 6:2. In the first set, the tennis players exchanged breaks fairly quickly, but then Gakhov made a second break in a row. After that, Ivan already competently worked from his minimal advantage and eventually took the party. At the start of the second set, Ivan immediately made a break, then the Russian tennis player worked competently on his serve. And with the score 4:2 in his favor, Ivan made the second break in the set, after that Gakhov already submitted for the match without any difficulty.
