In the first set, Shevchenko showed an excellent game and due to two consecutive breaks in the middle of the game, as well as competent working on his serve, Alexander took the set with a crushing score. There was already a commotion on the court in the second set. As a result, Carballes-Baena lost the game twice on his serve, but at the same time Roberto made three consecutive breaks, which allowed him to reach the score of 5:2. This was not enough for the Spaniard, in the end he allowed Shevchenko to win back. Then, with the score 5:5, Carballes-Baena lost a game on his serve for the fourth time in a set, and after such a gift, Shevchenko realized that it was time to close the match, which he successfully did. As a result, the tennis players spent one hour and forty minutes on the court.
