Still, let's not forget that Gasquet has been playing every day since the second of February. And in the 1/8 finals Richard confidently beat Kwon in two sets, although he had to spend one hour and forty minutes on the court to win. In the first set, the tennis players initially began to work well on their serve, but from the middle of the game Gasquet began to get closer to the break. Richard had the best chance with the score 3:3, Gasquet led 40:15 on the opponent's serve, but in this game Kwon was able to escape. Then the tennis players again played a couple of games on their serve without mistakes, but closer to the tie-break Gasquet still squeezed the opponent and after making a break closed the game with a score of 7:5. At the very beginning of the second set, Gasquet barely made a very important break for himself and then Richard worked competently on his serve, which allowed the Frenchman to close the set with a score of 6:4.

Between themselves, Mikael Imer and Richard Gasquet played in 2020 at a tournament in Marseille. Then the Swede was stronger in three sets – 6:3; 3:6; 7:5.

If Richard Gasquet wins the third match in a row in three days, it will be just amazing, it is hard to believe that the Frenchman will still play another match at the highest level, and somehow it will be difficult to beat Imer, who is in good shape.
