In the 1/8 finals of the ATP-250 tournament in Chengdu, Russian tennis player Roman Safiullin will play against Daniel Evans from Great Britain.

First , the Briton beat Alex De Minaur from Australia in a singles match in three sets – 6:1; 2:6; 6:4. And in the evening Evans, along with Neil Skupski, lost in two sets to the Australians Matthew Ebden and Max Purcell – 6:7 (5:7); 4:6.
On September 15, Evans again played a doubles match for the national team. This time Daniel, along with Neil Skupski, beat Swiss Dominik-Stefan Strikker and Stanislas Wawrinka in two sets – 6:3; 6:3.
On September 17, on the final day of the Davis Cup, Daniel Evans again played two matches. First , in singles, Evans won a strong -willed victory over Frenchman Arthur Fils in three sets – 3:6; 6:3; 6:4. And in the evening doubles match, Evans and Neil Skupski won a very difficult and strong-willed victory over Nicolas Mayu and Edouard Roger–Vasselin in three sets - 1:6; 7:6 (7:4); 7:6 (8:6).
