As for Sonego's performance in Cordoba, Lorenzo managed to get used to Argentina. Together with Andrea Vavassori on the first day, Sonego beat Luis David Martinez (Venezuela) and Fernando Romboli (Brazil) – 6:4; 7:6 (7:4). But last night in the quarterfinals, the Italian duo lost to Santiago Gonzalez (Mexico) and Andres Molteni (Argentina) – 6:7 (6:8); 7:6 (7:2); 3:10.

Roberto Carballes-Baena and Lorenzo Sonego have played together many times. The last time the tennis players met twice in a year was in 2019. The first meeting, like most of the previous ones, was left to the Spaniard. In mid-February, at a clay tournament in Buenos Aires, Carballes-Baena won in two sets – 7:5; 6:1.
