But the French women did not manage to get into the playoffs directly, as they lost in two rounds, had to fight with the third teams for getting out of the group and did it successfully, beating Canada by the difference of points scored and conceded, thanks to which they took the second ticket to the quarterfinals. Regarding the results in the group, France won against Nigeria (87-62), and lost 70-74 to Japan and 82-93 to the United States.
