Romania
The two previous friendly matches with the participation of the Romanian national team ended with a score of 3-2 in regular time. If in the first match the result was not in favor of Romania, it lost to France, missing the equator of the third 20 minutes, then in the second match it already tipped the scales in its favor and won the first Victoria in 2021. Ukraine was beaten, which conceded first, then equalized, but the teams left at the first break with the result 2-2. Four minutes before the end of the second period, Romania scored the third goal, which, as it turned out, was the winner.
Slovenia
The first match of the year for Slovenia turned out to be successful - the team showed an attractive game, and achieved a positive result, beating Austria (3-1). Curiously, the Austrians scored first, in the fifth minute, but Slovenia established parity after 25 seconds, led in the score after another two minutes, and was able to bring the advantage to a more comfortable five minutes before the end of the first period. There were no more abandoned pucks, although the number of attacks did not decrease.
