Sunday's program of the ninth round of the Portuguese Primeira Liga will end with a match with not the brightest sign – "Portonense" will play at home with "Estoril". But from a tournament point of view, this match can be called the central one in the round. We bring to your attention the forecast for this duel.
"Portmonense"
"Black and white" are on the fifth line in the standings, having scored 14 points at this point. They haven't lost for almost two months. In the second half of September, "Portmonense" played two home matches, beating "Santa Clara" (2:1) and drawing with "Vizela" (0:0), and in early October, he sensationally beat away "Benfica" (1:0). After the international break, Paulo Sergio's team almost flew out of the Portuguese Cup from Oliveirenche (3:3, pen. 5:4).
"Estoril"
Estoril is even higher in the standings – in fourth place, one point ahead of Portonense. Although this is only due to a strong start in the championship. In the last three rounds, the Canaries cannot win: after a home defeat against Sporting (0:1), they drew twice - away with Boavista (1:1) and at home with Gil Vicente (2:2). Last week, Estorilians modestly outplayed Felgeiras in the national Cup (1-0).
