In the match of the seventh round of Serie A, the long-suffering Turin Juventus will go to visit Monza.
"Monza"Giovanni Stroppa's team last week finally managed to score their first point in Serie A. Monza played a rather weak match against Lecce on the road, but still drew with a score of 1:
1. At the same time, it was Monza who was able to open the score in the match, Stefano Sensi scored in the 35th minute. After that, one of the main outsiders of this season of Serie A decided to play exclusively from defense. This tactic didn't really work, Lecce won back immediately after the break, it happened in the 48th minute. However, Monza continued to play exclusively from defense, not even thinking about attacking. During the whole match, the team scored only two shots on goal, one of them hit the target and turned out to be a goal.
After this result, Monza, of course, remained in last place in the standings with extremely unclear prospects.
JuventusBut the Turin club under the leadership of Massimiliano Allegri, who can take a closer look at Monza, has become a mediocre middling.
Juventus became afraid to play attacking football on their own field, even with Salernitana. As a result, in the last round, the "old signora" managed to draw with such an average team with a score of 2:2. At the same time, statistics may speak for Juventus, but in the first half Allegri's team was doing strange things and therefore quite rightly lost the first half of the match with a score of 0:2. After the break, Juventus finally started playing more attacking football and as a result, in the 51st minute, Bremer won back one goal from Filip Kostic's pass. In this case, the standard helped the Turin club. In the following minutes, Juventus desperately tried to score the second goal, but the Turin club had big problems in completing the attacks. And yet, in the time compensated by the referee at 90 + 3 minutes, a penalty was awarded to the gate of Salernitana. Juventus almost lost the match, because Leonardo Bonucci did not hit very well and Luigi Sepe dragged the ball, but Bonucci himself was the first to play on finishing and still made the score 2:2. After a couple of minutes, Juventus earned another corner, which almost gave the Turin club three points. Arkadiusz Milik shot very well into the far corner of the goal with his head from the left corner of the penalty area after filing from the corner flag, however, the goal was not counted after viewing VAR. At the moment of Milik's strike, Bonucci turned out to be offside, who made a head movement at the goalie's line and did not allow Sepa to react. A scuffle started on the field because of this, Juventus had two removals at once. First, Arkadiusz Milik received a second yellow card for taking off his shirt while celebrating a goal. And shortly after the cancellation of the goal, Juan Cuadrado and Massimiliano Allegri were removed from the field due to violent emotions.
After another loss of points, Juventus shares 8-9 places in the standings with Torino with ten points, which is quite symbolic.
Further bullying of Juventus fans continued on September 14. In the second round of the Champions League group stage, the Turin club lost to Portuguese Benfica with a score of 1:2. At the same time, Juventus has already conceded in all respects. And it happened because of a quick goal, no matter how strange it sounds. Already in the fourth minute, Arkadiusz Milik opened the scoring with a pass from Leandro Paredes. However, as Allegri likes to impose, immediately after creating an advantage, Juventus sat down on their half of the field waiting for counterattacks, which is impossible to do with teams of the Champions League level. As a result, Juventus gradually lost control of the game. At the end of the first half, Benfica was able to win back, it happened in the 43rd minute. And already at the start of the second half, the team from Lisbon took the lead. Juventus then again began to try to start playing more actively in attack, but the Portuguese club suddenly turned out not to be Salernitana with mid-level players. Juventus did not manage to draw at least a draw in the end. Now the Turin club in group H proudly shares 3-4 places with the Israeli Maccabi, but the club from Haifa loses due to a weak squad, and Juventus due to cowardice.
Juventus and Monza last played each other last year. On July 31, at the Berlusconi Cup, Juventus turned out to be stronger with a score of 2:1.
ForecastJuventus has already reached the status of a typical middle-class Serie A. Yes, the Turin club has a lot of problems with the squad, but there are no less problems in Allegri's head.
If Juventus does not beat Monza, the Turin club can hang out a white flag in advance in the fight for victory in Serie A.
