In the quarterfinals of the top bracket of Group A at IEM Cologne 2024, the European team G2 will play against SAW from Portugal.

The European team came to Germany after a successful performance in Denmark at BLAST Premier Fall Groups. In Copenhagen, G2 won Group C and advanced to the next stage of the tournament. In the final match of the group, which was on the third of August, G2 confidently beat the Swedish team Ninjas in Pyjamas on two maps – 13:7 Ancient (opponent's peak) and 13:8 Inferno.
SAW
The Portuguese team, in turn, made it to the main draw of the tournament in Cologne through the Play-in stage. SAW did not always play consistently, but in the end the guys made their way to the main stage through the top grid. The day before yesterday, in the quarterfinals of the upper grid, SAW won a strong–willed victory over the German BIG team on three maps - 7:13 Anubis (its peak); 13:5 Ancient and 13:11 Inferno. Let's add that at their peak, SAW played poorly in defense in the second half, the Portuguese took only two rounds, which led to defeat on the map.
Forecast
