In the third match of the 1/4 finals of IEM Rio Major 2022, Team Spirit and Heroic will come face to face. We analyze the form of the teams and give a forecast.
Team Spirit
"Spiritualists" coped with the qualifying stage of the IEM Rio Major 2022 confidently, winning three victories with one defeat, and then closed Cloud 9 with a score of 2-1 in the play-off match for a place in the Legends Stage. Despite this, Team Spirit had little chance of reaching the playoffs, as there were stronger opponents, at least it seemed so on paper. But the expectation diverged from the case, and Team Spirit was able to reach the quarterfinals after two defeats in three rounds, winning in the fourth round against Sprout 2-0 (16-9 on Nuke and 16-8 on Vertigo), and in the fifth against Team Liquid 2-1 (16-10 on Vertigo, 12-16 on Mirage and 16-13 on Ancient).
Heroic
The Danish team was also successful in the play-off matches, closing 2-1 OG and Team Vitality, as a result of which it made its way immediately to the Legends Stage. After that, the "Heroics" pleased themselves and the fans with a victory at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2022 Europe, and then joined the fight at the IEM Rio Major 2022. By the third round, the Danes came up with 2-0 statistics, but could not reach the quarterfinals on the first attempt, losing 0-2 to Cloud 9 (9-16 on Vertigo and Inferno), but coped with the second, being stronger than Team Liquid on three maps (16-8 on Vertigo, 5-16 on Mirage and 16-11 on Overpass).
Forecast
Heroic is the favorite, but Team Spirit has shown that it is ready to fight with all opponents and achieve positive results. I think that at least one card "dragons" will take.
