Description
Денис Валерьевич Денисов родился 31 декабря 1981 года в Харькове в семье военнослужащего. В возрасте девяти лет он вместе с семьёй переехал в Тверь, где и начал заниматься хоккеем. Позже переехал в столицу, где продолжил своё становление как игрока в структуре ЦСКА.
В сезоне 1997/1998 дебютировал в чемпионате России по хоккею за армейцев. В 2000 году в пятом круге драфта НХЛ был выбран американской командой "Баффало Сейбрз". После четырёх лет выступлений за ЦСКА, перебрался в соседние Крылья Советов, а в 2002 году уехал из столицы, выступая сначала за уфимский "Салават Юлаев", а затем за казанский "Ак Барс" и омский "Авангард". В составе "Ак Барса" сумел стать чемпионом России.
После образования Континентальной хоккейной лиги снова вернулся в Москву, подписав контракт с "Динамо", за которое выступал два сезона. После этого на два года перебрался в стан петербургского СКА, после чего вернулся в родной ЦСКА. В сезоне 2015/2016 впервые добрался с командой до финального матча на Кубок Гагарина, однако стать его обладателем не сумел, так как столичные армейцы проиграли магнитогорскому "Металлургу" в серии со счётом 3:4.
Международную карьеру Денис Денисов начал в далёком 1999 году выступлениями за юниорскую сборную России. В 200 году выиграл серебряные медали молодёжного чемпионата мира. В 2005 году отличился и в составе взрослой сборной России, завоевав с командой бронзовые медали мирового первенства. Следующий успех на международной арене пришёл лишь в 2012 году, когда Денисов, наконец, стал чемпионом мира, а спустя два года удалось повторить этот успех.
