Description
Олафур Скуласон родился 1-го апреля 1983-го года. Футбольный путь он начинал в клубе "Филкир", где его заметили скауты самого лондонского "Арсенала". В Англии Скуласон практически не играл, и в 2003-м году он был отправлен в краткосрочную аренду в свой родной "Филкир". На родине Олафур проявил себя очень даже хорошо, сумев стать лучшим молодым футболистом сезона.
Вернувшись из аренды, Скуласон продолжал не получать шансов себя проявить в "Арсенале", и в 2005-м году исландец перешёл в "Брентфорд". В самом начале сезона Олафур получил тяжелейшую травму крестообразных связок и был вынужден пропустить весь футбольный год. После восстановления исландский полузащитник толком не заиграл и перебрался в "Хельсинборг". На протяжении всей своей карьеры Скуласон ни в одном из клубов не задерживался надолго. Дольше всего он выступал за бельгийский "Зюльте-Варегем" – четыре года. В 2016-м Олафур заключил контракт с "Карабюкспором", цвета которого защищает и по сей день.
Скуласон очень давно дебютировал за сборную Исландии. Случилось это в ноябре 2003-го года в товарищеской игре против Мексики. Тем не менее, стать стабильным игроком основной обоймы национальной команды Олафуру так и не удалось. В заявке исландской сборной на Евро-2016 его не оказалось.
